Migrating to the new Calendar

Modified on Fri, 9 Oct at 12:31 PM

This article addresses best practises for administrators moving from the previous group-session calendar to the new solution. The move is designed to preserve existing work: no manual export or re-import is required, and no appointments are lost when the new calendar view is enabled.

What happens to existing calendars and appointments

  • Every calendar that existed before the migration is preserved, along with the appointments it contained.
  • Existing appointments continue to appear on the calendars of the resources they were originally set up for, meaning that therapists and patients will still see the appointments previously created.
  • The previous Calendar list and Create new calendar entries remain accessible while both features are enabled, so any historical calendar can still be viewed or edited.

Best practices

We recommend making yourself familiar with the help articles in this section, ensuring you are aware of what is new or different from the legacy group calendar solution.

We suggest reviewing your current setup so you know what needs to carry over: which calendars are in use, which appointments are active, and which recurring appointments or templates you rely on. This impact review helps identify anything that needs attention before the change.

After activating the new calendar, you may want to check:

  • Appointments appear on the expected calendars with the correct colours.
  • Recurring appointments show the right occurrences and end dates.
  • Templates and any programme or profile links produce appointments as intended.
  • Patients can still see and, where relevant, book their appointments in the app.

If anything looks off, note the specific appointment or calendar and raise a support case so it can be checked.
